RFID used "To Catch a Thief"
Bar Code Security Systems is working with RSI ID Technologies to launch its To Catch a Thief product, which uses RFID tagging technology to track purchase location of a product in order to thwart thieves from trying to return stolen merchandise for a refund or sale products for full price. The companies hope to begin trials with retailers in the near future. RFID Journal (11/30)

About Us

Barcode Security Systems Inc.- A Illinois based start-up has patented the solution Patent # 7,108,183 that will stop fraudulent returns plus help online returns to be identified back at the store and save retailers billions of dollars annually.  Helping in arresting and convicting retail theft thieves, keeping these undesirables out of the retail stores, is another huge advantage for today's retailers.  Barcode Security Systems doesn't care if a product was purchased online, in a store, at the warehouse or from a friend or family member.  It will tell the retailer if, in fact, the product was paid for and therfore eligible for return/exchange allowing the customer to return/exchange at the store or via common carrier.

"The customer wins and the retailer saves billions of dollars in returns and unnecessary shipping fees"
